This blog is an extention of Group ShinHwaGlish on YouTube that I had impulsively created one day on December 20, 2006. It looks like we've been around for three and a half years.
THE MEANING BEHIND SHINHWAGLISH
It's a simple compound.
Shinhwa + English = ShinHwaGlish
Shinhwa + English = ShinHwaGlish
WHAT IS SHINHWAGLISH?
What is it? Well, I suppose it's the fruit borne from Korean-illiterate fans' love for ShinHwa and their continous strive to understand everything about them; and above all, to know what they're saying.
As the name suggests, at first, ShinHwaGlish was just to be a collection of English-subbed ShinHwa videos uploaded on Youtube. That intent still has not changed, but as the group grew from just myself to nearly 700+ members (fansubbers, uploaders and viewers alike), objectives also grew to other proportions.In November of 2007, pandan from Angelical Harmony suggested that we should open a ShinHwa clubbox and attempt to put all these wonderful pieces of hardwork in their original form and share them with all ShinHwa fans. Both of us labored day and night, but there was simply not enough time and support, so by the end of 2008, the clubbox has been abandoned.
Though we were unable to achieve our original goal, the result of all this hard work was that the jumble of disorganized YouTube videos became a more orderly, navigable and accessible list of English-subtitled ShinHwa videos.
Please continue to support the ShinHwaGlish Group. Hopefully, this will be able to make your journey by ShinHwa's side even more full of love, full of joy, and most of all, full of understanding. Especially, since members are serving their country right now.
